New Portfolio on Carbonmade
tidbitart: I finally put some images up with my brand new portfolio at Carbonmade. I really like the layout and simplicity of the site. The guys there did an awesome job at making it user-friendly and stylish at the same time. I don’t have much up yet, since I’m kind of a perfectionist (I’ve thrown a lot of my artwork away over the years). However, I did put a link to it on my sidebar, so go...

Give Us Your Portfolio Tips & Win a Carbonmade... →
Three tips from Carbonmade’s co-founder and design guy, Dave Gorum, to get the ball rolling: Quality over quantity. I understand the desire to have a robust portfolio, bursting at the seams with gold star work. Fact is, the majority of folks can’t pull this off and it’s not something you can fake. Carbonmade Update and The Case of the Missing... →
I’ll catch you up: Carbonmade is a fantastic portfolio site that has a free account and a paid account. The paid accounts are called “Whoo!” and cost $12/month. Well, I won a drawing to get that paid account for free. I have updated my portfolio a little there with more to come. If I could embed that portfolio here, I would. That is how much I love their portfolio software. I have yet to find...

Interview with Spencer Fry of Carbonmade →
Christa - Why should an artist use Carbonmade rather than build their own website? Spencer - We feel that artists should be focused on producing their work and not have to worry about how it’s displayed. Carbonmade keeps the artists’ work at the forefront so as not to get in the way of their work. We’re basically a virtual representation of an old school “offline” portfolio. We provide the...

What makes your product or service stand out in the crowd? I think what makes Carbonmade special is that it’s such an easy tool to use, displays your work very well without getting in the way, and has a beautiful aesthetic. All of our design decisions are made with simplicity and ease-of-use in mind.
