It wouldn’t be a stretch to imagine that Oscar Castelao is a lover of the great outdoors. From skyrunning to mushing to chasing celestial objects through the night sky, he excels at capturing awe-inspiring moments involving mother nature. You can almost smell the fresh air just looking at ‘em! Good stuff.

A giant water weasel spinning beats in the Big Apple? That’s otterly ridiculous! Okay, so some of us here at Carbonmade HQ have a little soft spot for otter folk but that doesn’t change the fact Ali Gulec’s doodles are completely rad. In his world, skulls reign supreme but you can also travel by llamabus or in the company of a super stylin’ deer family. Sign us up!

There are a lot of reasons to like Pergy Acuña. Primarily, she’s hella crafty and makes amazing felt and papercut creations. But she also rocks an above average appreciation of a little lip fur. Her love of moustaches makes her tops in our books! Be sure to follow her papercut process blog aptly named The Cutting Mat.

Fernanda Frick’s got a great name and she’s a darn fine animator and illustrator. Seems unfair, really. Nevertheless, from boxes of rescued bunnies to roly-poly planets, this Chilean gal creates awesome characters in scenes full of lovely color. She’s definitely one to watch!

Inspired by her love of hiking and the plight of the world’s great forests, Singaporean Adilah Amri designed a textile line full of mountain, tree and forest dwelling animal motifs. In amongst beautiful washy yellows, blues, browns and greys, you’ll find wolves, bears, owls and other organic life. She also does amazing embroidery work. Good job!

It’s all fun and games when it’s the birthday of James! Team Carbonmade celebrated our illustrious doodler’s day of mirth by dressing up and doing things. He looks stoked!

Happy birthday, Mr. Barnes! Your drawings are top notch, you have a nice head of hair and you are a delight.
